Dover Utilities Commission

The Dover Utilities Commission shall have the following powers and shall perform the following functions: (1) Study, advise and assist in the development, maintenance, operation and expansion of the water supply system in the City of Dover. (2) Assist in an advisory capacity in the determination of the Water Department policy, rate structure, public relations and matters of general public interest. (3) Subject to the review and approval of the City Council, the Dover Utilities Commission shall have the power to formulate necessary rules and regulations with regard to the use of the public water and sewer systems in the City of Dover. [Amended 07-01-92 by Ord. No. 17-92] (4) The Dover Utilities Commission shall be responsible for reviewing the sewer user charges annually and periodically recommending to the City Council necessary revisions to reflect actual treatment work operation and maintenance costs.
