If you would like to apply for a position listed, simply download a City of Dover Employment Application, complete, sign and return the application to the City Manager's Office by the closing date shown for that particular position. Applications are also available at the front entrance of City Hall.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:

• Will the City accept late applications/resumes? Under no circumstance will the City of Dover accept an application beyond the closing date.

• The position I want to apply for closes today but I can't make it to City Hall. Is there anything I can do? If you mail your application, as long as it is postmarked by the mail carrier on or before the closing date, your application/resume will be accepted.

• I applied for a position and am wondering what the status is? You will hear from the department hiring, either by phone or by mail, as to the status of the position you applied for. This does take some time and we ask that you be patient.

• Can I send in my resume instead of filling out a City of Dover Employment Application? A City of Dover Employment Application must be submitted for each position unless stated differently on the second page of the Vacancy Announcement.

• Can I fax or email my application or resume? No. The original is needed prior to the closing date as an original signature is needed.
